Services Brook Care provides

An example of the basic services offered by the agency may include:

Personal Care	Practical Care
Dressing/Undressing	Light Housework
Washing/Bathing	Shopping
Feeding	Collection of Pension
Continence Care	Ironing
Catheter Care	Preparation of light meals
Colostomy Care	Assist with eye/ear drops

Brook Care staff will not undertake anything that is considered to be of a specialist nature for example:*

Changing sterile dressings	Nail Cutting (finger or toe)
Bowel evacuations	Ear syringing
Bladder washouts	Lifting from the floor unaided
Injections	Tracheotomy care

* Brook Care Domiciliary Care Agency does not provide nursing care but may be required from time to time to undertake tasks which may be considered specialist. These tasks may be undertaken following appropriate risk assessments and pre-agreed undertakings with specific training if required. The care workers will be trained in the procedure before undertaking the tasks with a trainer with a relevant qualification e.g. occupational therapist, speech therapist or nurse.
